Protection of personal data

Sportimex stores your personal data in a secure database. And it stays there too. We do not pass your information on to third parties for commercial purposes. In order to proceed your purchases as smoothly as possible, we first need information from you.

First and last name

That way we can address you nicely.

Address and place of residence

This way we know where to send your order.

Phone number

We are happy to contact you quickly about your order. We will call if something is unclear.

Payment details

We use a secure payment environment so you can pay for your order. When you pay with iDEAL or bank transfer, your data is stored in our administration to be able to link the payment to your order. Furthermore, we only use your bank account number when you receive a credit from us. When you pay with credit card, we send your credit card information directly from our secured environment to MultiSafepay. They process our credit card payments. We will not see your credit card details, MultiSafepay only tells us whether your payment was successful or not.

IP address

We remember your preferences to be able to provide you with appropriate advice. By remembering your IP address, we immediately ensure that no one else uses your Sportimex account.

E-mail address

You will receive an e-mail about your order, invoice and the products you purchase from us. We will e-mail you our response when you have let us known your opinion. You will also receive offers and newsletters by e-mail. If you give permission for that.

Customer service

You can call and e-mail us. To ensure that your story does not have to be repeated twice, we remember it with the help of a note in our system.

Account

Your personal details are in your Sportimex account. Name, delivery and billing address, date of birth, telephone number and login details. Conveniently, so you do not have to enter this data every time. We also store data about your previous orders so that we can help you faster.

Newsletters

You can sign up for our newsletters. For the content of the newsletters, we check what you have ordered. Then we know roughly what you like. Would you rather not receive newsletters anymore? You can easily unsubscribe: via customer service, your Sportimex account or via the link at the bottom of the newsletter itself.

Reviews

You can help other customers with your review. By sharing your experiences, you give others an even better impression of a product or service. We keep track of the reviews you write and your reviews are also in your Sportimex account.

Improvement

We always want to get better. We use your data to check whether this works. We collect customer behaviour. For example, to improve our newsletter or web shops better. We monitor actions like clicking on links and viewing pages. We always handle this data correctly, conforming the privacy rules.

Promotions

If you participate in a Sportimex promotion you will of course leave your name and e-mail address. You will then hear from us whether you have won. We also use this data to analyse our promotions. This way they become even more fun every time.

Personal advice

As said: we like to keep getting better. That's why we like to get to know you well. When you visit our shops, like us on Facebook, or order something from us, we remember what you need. We do the search and help you with great offers, for example by email. We also use your data to improve our sites. And to show useful advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, for example. We do this by using of cookies.

Fraud prevention

Sometimes we need to use customer data to investigate, prevent and counter fraud. And if your data is really suspicious, we have to pass your data on to government agencies.
